Bags of Glamour

Description

A rare and unique chick purse dating to the first half of the twentieth century, circa 1910.  The purse gold tone metal and is in the form of a chick/chicken with the both sides of the frame shaped as the head and upper body, the lower half of the body is metal linked with very cleverly modelled and very authentic looking feet which dangle down. The frame has a textured effect on both sides as well as eyes and a realistically formed beak. 


Despite lengthy research nothing similar has been found. 

Condition is excellent.  A few of the links which hold the body to the frame could do with realigning.
