Description

A pair of cast bronze/ormolu five light wall sconces. Each with an eagle and cherub crest, above circular mirrors with a monogram and five c-scroll sconces. Dimensions, 38cm wide, 47cm high (14 1/2in wide, 18 1/2in high). Condition for age is excellent with no structural damage or losses. There is some tarnishing to the gilding in places. Converted for electricity from use as candelabra. This will require recertification by a qualified electrician. The image shows one fitting partly illuminated.

Said to have been, at one stage, present in the Bonaparte household on St Helena but no supporting evidence to support this.
