Wells Cathedral set of Arts & Crafts Dry Point Etchings by the listed Victorian Artist Henry Sheppard Dale,the set of etchings dated to 1886 ,The set of Arts & Crafts Movement drypoint etchings are rich strong impressions with full margins with deep strong plate marks,the etchings are still in the original portfolio as issued in 1886, The etchings are signed in pencil by the artist. There are 8 etchings in all in this suite / portfolio of Arts & Crafts Inspired Architectural Church Cathedral Etchings showing veiws of the the inside and outside of Wells Cathedral Somerset England.
All of the etchings prints are unframed they would look wonderful framed,framing the set can be arranged should a buyer wish.

The Artist Henry Sheppard Dale Born 1852-1921 educated at Sheffield Grammar School. Studied at Cary's Art School and then at the Slade.studied in Italy 1874-77.
Exhibited at the principal London galleries from 1878, mainly at the R.A.,R.I. and Suffork Street. Worked for The Graphic 1879-81 and also illustrated several books. Produced etchings,including portfolios of etchings,
Venice 1881, Glastonbury 1885, Wells 1886, Salisbury 1887, Exeter 1888. Elected A.R.E. 1909. Lived for a time at Rye in Sussex and died on 24th November 1921.
