Here we have for sale a pair Of vintage Royal Worcester June Garland Egg Coddlers complete with their original box, packaging and leaflet dating from 1965-1985. This is a rare set, as it is so complete.

These coddlers have the June Garland pattern, which was designed by Ronald van Ruyckevelt, a well known sculptor for Royal Worcester. The design is just beautiful with a pink and purple floral image set on white background.

The egg coddler was invented by Royal Worcester in the 1890s, so this was made by the original manufacturer of egg coddlers!

Condition report:

The coddlers appear to be unused condition, the packaging is complete with the header card, the insert and the outer box also with the Royal Worcester egg coddler recipes booklet (in English French and German), however, the lid is torn on both sides, see photos and the header is worn , however, the packaging is fully functional and protects and stores the coddlers nicely.

This set would make a lovely present for a loved one, or has a functional use for coddling eggs - instructions are on the header card. This pair of coddlers form a beautiful piece of porcelain tableware, beautifully designed by Ronald van Ruyckevelt and made and would be an elegant addition to your vintage cookware collection.
