Description
A figure of a North American Bison designed by John Skeaping for Wedgwood in 1927. There are rather indistinct impressed marks on the rear end of the plinth which say Wegwood and J Skeaping. The bison is glazed with an off white crackle glaze. The bison figure is the rarest of this animal series, in 2008 one with more legible marks and tan glaze was sold at auction for £1725.00 including comission.Date1920s :
