Antique Rarities

Description

A charmingly naive oil painting of a Victorian gentleman in his garden posing beside a small table upon which are (presumably) some of his favourite morocco bound volumes. Measuring 4 by 5 1/2 inches the wooden panel has what appear to be the numerals 1790 in ink on the reverse. Obviously not the date but the continental 7 along with the artist's signature and general style lead us to think it could well emanate from 19th century France. Postage to any UK address is included in the price.
