Description

A magnificent set of 3 antique George 111 urn-topped engraved steel fire irons dating from circa 1780. In a Robert Adam influenced design, the wonderfully pierced open fretwork to the pan depicts an acanthus leaf over a scrollwork design. Comprising of a shovel, tongs and a poker, the shafts and pan beautifully engraved with foliage details and topped with turned urn finials. They are fantastic quality, in heavy turned and engraved polished steel, a wonderful set that would complement any fireplace.
