Whitefriars Ruby Red 6" Bark Vase, Pattern 9689
Whitefriars Ruby Red 6" Bark Vase pattern number 9689
This is a Whitefriars 'Bark' vase in Ruby red. The moulds used for these vases were made from real wood bark, giving the glass a sharp and well defined texture. It catches the light beautifully and sparkles in the sun. This design came in 3 sizes, this 6 inch version being the smallest. It was designed by Geoffrey Baxter for the famous British glass company, Whitefriars, in 1967, as part of his textured range. LucianLinnell Vintage have a 2nd, matching vase available, listed separately.
The vase is in excellent condition without chips or cracks - there are only minor scratches on the polished section of the base. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
