A good quality ruby faceted cut glass bottle.

The silver coloured top is beautifully decorated with flowers and scrolls.

It opens with a push button mechanism which is in full working order and snaps shut.

The inside of the lid and the rim are gilded. The lid is lined with clear glass engraved into the top under the glass is S Maw Son and Thompson, London, this dates it to the latter half if the 19th century.

The glass and top are in excellent order. It may have been for smelling salts as Maws were chemists and chemists sundries.
