Thomas Spencer Racehorse Engraving 1751
Thomas Spencer (1700-1763) Original Engraving on Laid Watermarked Paper of 'Starling' Racehorse dated 1751. The engraving gives all of the relevant information relating to Starling, his ownership and his thoroughbred history. He was owned by His Grace the Duke of Ancaster.
Bottom left hand corner states T. Spencer, Prixt and to the right hand corner H.(Henry) Roberts, Sculp.
These Plates where brought out between 1741-1754 by Thomas Butler, at this premises in Pall Mall, London.
The engraving is framed and glazed.
