A Splendid and Rare Mid-Century Modern Danish Chest of Drawers / Linen Press.
Offered here is the extremely hard to find and highly desirable, chest of drawers / 'linen press' combi unit, from acclaimed Danish antique furniture makers, Art Furn.
A bank of six generous drawers to the left, each with minimalist, recessed drawer pulls....and to the right a bank of seven slides, enveloped by a beautiful sliding tambour closure.
A high-quality piece, beautifully designed and with good attention to detail throughout. Well constructed from a combination of solid timbers and book-matched teak veneers, this is a hugely practical piece of furniture which truly offers a handsome 'all in one' solution for the storage of trousers, jeans, jumpers, knitwear and underwear and the like.
The tambour closure works perfectly and is tightly fitting ensuring a safe and relatively dust and moth-free place to store valued jumpers and knitwear, folded on the slides.
This piece is quite large, but it is truly voluminous makes maximum use of that size and offers up ample storage.
To sum up, a rare piece of designer Danish antique furniture, offering massive practicality.

Dimensions -
124 cms wide x 48 cms deep x 127 cms high.
Condition -
From an excellent and caring home, overall this item presents very well.
There is a slight shift in colour to the right hand side panel (from exposure to light), but in my opinion it isn't hugely off the mark and the colour across the rest of the piece is very consistent. There is a scuff away to the lower BACK edge corner - never likely to be seen and also a small chip away to the top BACK edge - again, not visible when in use. A few minor age related marks and knocks from several decades of use, fair to say I think it's in overall excellent order.
The top is generally very clean, with super grain and no unsightly cup marks or wear which so often blight these.
The tambour closure is excellent, functions perfectly and free from faults or damage.
