Smart mid 20th.c. Louis XV style side cabinet by the celebrated French cabinet makers and decorators Maison Gouffé of Paris c.1950. Highly figured 1¼” thick marble top with a shaped and moulded edge at the front and sides. Two door cabinet fitted with two adjustable shelves (max internal depth 14″). Slightly curving front and sides with contrasting tulip and kingwood veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern. With delicate floral decoration marquetry inlay on the door fronts. Quality gilded ormolu mounts to the shoulders, escutcheon, apron and feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
