The case is in excellent condition, with no visible damage to the chinoiserie artwork, 200mm dial with gilded chapter ring displaying the hours in Roman Numerals, complimented by gold coloured fancy design hands behind a gilded hinged brass bezel that opens to set the time and wind 3 square arbors for the time, strike, and Westminster Chime.
The tapered trunk is typical of the Art Deco period, showing very high quality Chinoiserie decoration to the front and sides, sitting on a weighted base with 4 gold coloured feet.
The very high quality, 8 day, 3 train movement with platform escapement, chiming on the quarter and striking the hours, benefits from a recent full strip down and service by The Clock Barn.
