Description

This French press cupboard dates from the late 17th / early 18th century. It is made of fine grained French oak. Both top and bottom cupboards have been fitted with a useful shelf. Between them are a pair of drawers with original wooden knobs. It has a lovely “old farm house” feel and is attractively proportioned being quite small but with a bags of storage space. The timbers have aged beautifully.
Date18th Century : Late 17th / early 18th century Dimensions43 inches wide, 65 1/2 inches high, 19 1/2 inches deep. ConditionThe overall condition is good with the signs of age you would expect to find on a 300 year old piece of furniture. There is some old inactive worm damage to it's back. The legs have been re-tipped. The lowest back boards appear to have been replaced with period wood. One of the side mouldings has been partially replaced. The internal shelves are later and the drawers bottoms have some replacement timber. Codeas493a011 / H/28 Price £2750.00     3214.48     $3533.48    The price has been listed in British Pounds.
