Description

A set of six 17th century style derbyshire chairs made in the early 19th century. These chairs are beautifully designed with arcaded backs and rows of carved ing and an abundance of turned finials, and split turning decorations. The chairs have panelled seats with the front legs and stretcher being of turned bobbin form.
These are a stunning set of six and they all have a lovely patina and excellent colour. There are a couple of losses to the applied split turnings, and one of the seats has some old splitting in the panel commensurate with age.
