Beautiful, large, unusual hand painted early Japanese Meiji period (1868 - 1912) Satsuma Jardiniere. There is some rubbing to the gilding & enamel, a few hairlines & a few small chips to the rim (please see pics). But a beautiful and rare piece nonetheless. Approximate dimensions are maximum width 17 inches, height 14.25 inches.DateLate 19th Century
