Description

It’s been a very long time since we have seen one of these, let alone been fortunate enough to stock one.
A rare and very pretty late 19thC antique hand carved sycamore wood Love Spoon of unique and highly desirable form. With elongated oval shaped bowl, sublime exaggerated side profile and integrated hook carved into the back of the handle.
Being of such a special form we have only seen a few examples of this scarce type over the years with examples honouring museum collections and specialist publications such as Pinto’s book of Treen. Without doubt one of the best conditioned examples we have ever seen. Displaying lovely mellow colour and surface from handling and age. In perfect condition and a really special example throughout. A truly lovely and unique spoon that would grace any collection.

Length 15.5cm. Bowl width 9cm
