A superb early Victorian Welsh woven cloth Quilt of stunning traditional design.
Fantastic hard wearing heavy fabric with gorgeous deep red colour and pretty contrasting purple to the reverse with subtle beautiful quilting create the most beautiful simple but striking look.
Superb condition for its age with just a couple of small imperfections and tiny historic repairs pictured. Some light fading and dirt to top and bottom edge as is typical with all early quilts which would improve greatly with some gentle cleaning.

Length 6ft = 186cm. Width 5ft 4” = 163cm
