Description

A pair of handsome and heart-warming carved oak faces, believed to originally have been adorning a large cupboard and which were carved by skilled hands in the second or third quartile of the 17th century.

With a really good colour, wonderful definition and deep characterful patination, the faces must have been accessible as they have developed a lovely deep sheen to their noses and pronounced features from the touch of generations.

I couldn’t resist this pair of handsome happy bearded men, one apparently wearing a crown, and I hope they will find a good home.

Dimensions are:

8.75 inches high, 2.25 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep.
I describe and photograph my pieces accurately and with the aim that on arrival each will exceed expectations.
