Description

This cased set of six silver cocktail sticks dates to and is evocative of the art deco period.

Each stick is 8.4 cm (3.3") long and is topped with a cockerel casting. They are also hallmarked with matching hallmarks for Sheffield, 1929, and the maker C W Fletcher & Son Ltd (Charles William Fletcher), who operated from Sterling Works, Bramhall Lane, Sheffield. All hallmarks are crisp and clear.

The box is a velvet and silk lined wooden box that is covered with a (faux) snakeskin finish. The box has seen better days. The hinge has been repaired/re-stuck, and there are patches where the finish is torn/worn away.
