Description

Four art deco solid silver seal top tea spoons.

The spoons are each fully hallmarked with the Lion rampant for sterling silver and the Sheffield town assay office mark. Three of the spoons are marked with the date letter "q" for 1933, and one with "o" for 1931. All four spoons carry the maker's mark "CB&S" for Cooper Brothers & Sons Limited.

Cooper Brothers & Sons worked from the Don Plate Works, Arundel Street, Sheffield, and also had a base at Holborn Viaduct in London.

Three of the spoons are in very good condition with only normal age related wear. The fourth does have some more significant stains to the bowl.

Each spoon measures 11 cm (4.3") long. The combined weight is 58g.
