Silver ornate design nurse's buckle.

This relatively modern buckle is fully hallmarked for London 1973, with maker "SMD", who we have been unable to identify.

The buckle measures approximately 10 cm (4") by 6 cm (2.25").
Both halves of the buckle carry the hallmarks, but only one half has the full set.
It weighs a very heavy 88 grams.

The buckle is pre-owned. It is in very good condition with no major defects noted.
