Description

Wedgwood dragon lustre vase, pattern Z4829, designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones and produced c1920/30s.

This vase has a blue lustre exterior, a white interior and blue/oyster lustre on the inside rim.
The external design features a single large gilt dragon and a grasshopper, and the top and bottom have a frieze of a geometric pattern.
The vase is marked with the Wedgwood backstamp, and the pattern number "Z4829".

The vase measures approximately 13 cm (5.2") tall, and is 7 cm (2.7") in diameter at its widest.

The vase is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or restorations. There is some minor crazing to the oyster glaze on the inside of the rim, but you have to look hard to spot it. There is only minimal wear to the gilding.
