Description

This is a pair of large, finely hand-painted Japanese Kutani-ware porcelain dishes / chargers from the early 20th century. On the reverse of each dish is a mark in Japanese characters of, presumably, the artist. Each plate depicts an identical scene, though a mirror image of the other, of three women and three children set within a landscape of a rocky lake shoreline with pine trees, and with mountains in the distance. Each has a wire hanger attached for hanging on the wall, which has had the benefit of protecting these plates from any damage.

Dimensions: 30 cm diameter by 5 cm height

Condition: Perfect. No chips or cracks. The colours are vivid.

Postage & packing: £10 within the UK. Please contact us if you would like a quote for sending overseas.
