Description

Fabulously decorative early 19th century and most unusual red leather and brass bound camphor trunk chest with brass stud work.
Wonderful colour and patina to the original red red tan leather and the contrast between the leather and brass strapping is really lovely. The decorative brass stud work is a nice touch and does have some missing studs which I have left, but if you would rather these replaced, please let me know.
Good solid trunk chest and in solid camphor, showing it has aged well.
This could make a great coffee table, perhaps with a toughened glass top to protect or just a great decor piece and some handy storage.
Good condition and with some age related wear to the leather here and there, but nothing more than you would expect.
Measuring:
16 1/4 inches or 41 cm high
36 1/4 inches or 92 cm wide
18 1/2 inches or 47 cm deep
