Description

Very decorative and well proportioned English 19th century ebonised and marquetry inlaid Credenza sideboard with original curved glass doors, circa 1880.
This credenza has aged gracefully and has three original locks in working order too. The brass mounts and the tulip, boxwood and ebony marquetry contrasting so well with the ebonising.
This credenza will make a great drinks cabinet, dining room server, living room display cabinet or bookcase, but also in a hall as a console.
The interior has a lovely faded velvet to the shelves, which are also boxwood strung to the edge too.
I have shown it with a good size pair of table lamps to give a sense of proportions, leaving room for a mirror or artwork to hang above…(not included!)
Measuring:
41 1/2 inches or 105.5 cm high
59 inches or 150 cm wide
15 3/4 inches or 40 cm deep
11 3/4 inches or 30 cm internal depth
