Really super quality and beautifully proportioned late 19th century English solid rosewood 3 seat salon sofa or hall bench very much in the manner of Gillows, although not stamped…circa 1880.
Very crisp carvings throughout the frame with turned and fluted legs on original castors.
This is an ideal piece for occasional / additional seating in a drawing room when required.
The existing vintage olive green brushed velvet with braided edge is in reasonable condition with some minor age and use marks, so no need to upholster unless you specifically wanted to.
Wonderful piece and of a very good quality.
