DESCRIPTION:
This is a superbly proportioned 1930s shop countertop display cabinet. Originally designed to showcase Watermans Ideal Fountain Pens, it features a honey oak frame with glass panels on all sides, including the top. The base of the frame displays the name 'Waterman’s Ideal Fountain Pens in gold, outlined in black. While the cabinet could be used to display other items, removing this original detail would be a real shame.
The cabinet measures approximately 24 cm wide by 41 cm high and is in excellent vintage condition, showing only minor signs of wear. Inside, there are two sloping fixed display shelves, edged in a decorative braid (not original), which are accessed via a single door with a small brass knob.
Original Watermans display cabinets from the 1930s are highly sought after by collectors, making this a rare find that adds character to any commercial or residential setting. This charming little cabinet will showcase a variety of items to their best advantage and is sure to impress enthusiasts and collectors alike.

WORKSHOP REPORT:
The name has some signs of wear and the original inset to hold the pens has long been removed other than that and the addition of the braiding this cabinet is in fantastic condition and has not need to go through the workshop.
