Description

Gents boxed Omega wrist watch, 1950.

UK POSTAGE ONLY FOR THIS ITEM

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 265, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name and it has the serial number 12,749,805 which dates it back to 1950.

The watch measures 36mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition. The inside of the screw-on case back has the Omega logo together with the case reference 2639-4 which is correct for the calibre 265 movement.

Signed Omega winding crown.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is in its original finish which has a nicely aged dial. Original hands (the infill has been removed over the years), a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A later leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a 1950s Omega wrist watch presentation box.

The box is covered in tan leather, there is light marking, and light scuffing on the corners, but nothing too detrimental.

Original signed interior with fitting.

Overall dimensions approximately 7cm high, 11cm back to front and 16cm wide.
