Description

This lovely French rosewood bed is offered in very good condition.
The bed comprises of a large headboard with a swept shape so typical of the Louis XV style.
There is an ornate carved shell to the top centre of the headboard and carved detailing to the framework.
The footboard also has similar shape and a carved panel to the base of the footboard .
The side rails have rosewood veneering and carving to them.
The rosewood frame has been polished and the panels upholstered in a cream linen.
The framework is all in good order and the bed comes with a newly fitted set of substantial bed slats.
The bed accommodates a standard double mattress 1900mm long x 1400mm wide.
