Smooth tone silver Swiss gentians set atop an etched silver background grace the lid.

The interior case is fitted out in gorgeous gilded lacquered brass.

The whole compact was lacquered by the maker and so it will not tarnish or require any cleaning.

The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The catches and hinges work perfectly. The compact is presented with a sifter gauze, puff and pouch.

The base is signed Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND,

Measures almost 8 cm diameter. Weighs 92.1 grams.

This Stratton Convertible compact is suitable as a handbag mirror and also for use with all loose foundation and pressed foundation pans measuring 59-67 mm diameter.
