An elegant superbly crafted fully hallmarked gold pendant locket which dates to the Edwardian era. This delightful locket was assayed (tested for gold purity) at Chester Assay Office in 1906. The hallmarks are clear, easy to read and unworn.

This keepsake pendant is suspended from a beautiful 18 inch 9 carat gold belcher chain necklace.

This splendid antique is richly ornamented with deeply symbolic motifs.

Ivy and acanthus leaves grace the outer case.

Ivy represents the bonds of love, eternal fidelity and wedded bliss.

Acanthus leaves symbolise everlasting life.

The locket is fitted with pale green watered silk liners, clear portrait protectors and the original solid gold frames. The hinge and catch work perfectly.
