A rare 1950s Stratton brand compact which is presented with the original pouch, sifter and puff. The compact is in super condition. There isn't any loss of enamel or design. No traces of powder residue. The lid is adorned with one of the most famous English landmarks, the Palace of Westminster, which is commonly named the Houses of Parliament.

The makers lacquered the brass and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned. The original mirror sticker is in place. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. There is some subtle age related haze on the mirror. The hinge and clasp work perfectly. The compact is signed Stratton. Measures 7.3 cm diameter. Weighs 81.8 grams.

This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror, for all loose face powder or as a cherished display collectible.
