Description

A fine quality George III silver wine label of classic rectangular shape with rounded ends and a double reeded border. Nicely engraved for "Sherry" and heightened with niello enamel. Fitted with a silver belcher chain. Hallmarked to the reverse with King's head, lion passant, London date letter for 1795 and the maker's mark for the sought after pairing of Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson.

It measures 4.3cm (1 7/8") by 2.5cm (1") and weighs 11g / 0.4ozt.

In excellent condition with no damage or repair and minor handling wear.
