Description

A superb quality pair of elegant George III silver sauce boats set on concave stepped pedestal feet. Cast egg and dart decoration to the rims and around the feet. Reeded strap handles with attractive spurred thumb rests and scrolled terminals. Hallmarked for London 1812, maker Crispin Fuller.

They measure 9cm (3 1/2") high to the rim, 18.5cm (7 1/4") long and 8.3cm (3 1/4") wide. A good gauge of silver, they weigh 432g / 13.9ozt.

In excellent condition with no damage, dents or repairs. The hallmarks are lightly rubbed but fully legible and handling wear in the main is minimal. A beautiful pair of sauce boats, ready for use.
