Description

A very sweet novelty silver miniature cupboard with hinged opening door and with all over embossed decoration of birds in the trees, flowers and scrolls to the sides and back. The top has an image of a young child sitting in the garden with their pet dog and landscape of fence and village church in background. The door has an older child playing with a hop and stick. Likely Dutch or German, marked to the door and top with Austrian-Hungary import marks and "800" stamped also to the door. c.1880.

It measures 3.5cm (1 3/8") high and 3cm (1 3/16") by 2.8cm (1 1/8") wide.

Condition is excellent with only minor handling wear.
