Description

A very sweet Bow porcelain cream boat of fluted shape painted in polychrome enamels with oriental style scenes of two children playing or dancing outside on the grass with trees in the background. A small floral motif inside the base of the boat and feathered pale pink border inside the rim. c.1765.

It measures 10.8cm (4 1/4") long, 6cm (2 3/8") wide and 5cm (2") high.

Condition is excellent: a nick to the side of the spout and very slight fridging to the lip. Slight discolouration to areas of the rim and the foot rim. A fine firing hairline around the lower handle terminal. Light handling wear. No repair or restoration.
