Description

A small and very pretty, painted dial, moonphase Longcase clock by James Wrapson of Chichester, who was recorded as working between 1798-1828.

8 day weight driven movement, striking the hours on a bell. A pretty, 12” painted moonphase dial with very unusual pale blue corners, and featuring subsidiary seconds and calendar. Original blued steel ‘heart’ hands. The nicely proportioned ‘break-arched’ case is of mahogany, with particularly fine veneers to the trunk door.
