A most attractive Walnut eight day striking Longcase Clock by Langley Bradley c.1705.

The beautifully figured walnut case with a pendulum lenticle to the front door, the base with a double plinth, having a concave throat moulding to the flat topped hood, intricately pierced sound fret and gilt, wooden capitals.

The eleven inch square brass dial with wheat-ear border and cherub and crown spandrels, the silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and half quarter hour markers, the matted centre with ringed winding holes, shaped date aperture, subsidiary seconds ring and exquisitely crafted blued steel hands.

The substantial, two train six pillar movement of eight day duration with anchor escapement and internal count wheel, sounding the hours on a bell and having brass cased weights and pendulum with a lead filled, brass covered bob.
