Description

A large Scottish William IV oak hall or serving table dating to the early 19th century, circa 1830. With a moulded rectangular top above a shaped frieze with central shield cartouche and raised on well carved cabriole legs to the front with leaf carved scroll feet. The slim design of the back legs and the overhang to the top allow this piece to sit flat to the wall.  A good solid country house style console table in a rich golden colour, with minor character marks consistent with age and use including dark marks and bruises to the top and two screw holes to the back of either side which do not detract from the overall look but can be filled.
