Description

Very rare example of the sought-after "Piercy's Patent" thimble. It's constructed from tortoiseshell, (or more accurately turtle shell) silver and gold. It features a coat of arms which is always displayed slightly crooked. This one is in superb condition with no damage or repairs. It comes with a nice case which may or may not be original but it was how it came to me. The patent was taken out in 1816.
I prefer payment by bank transfer, details on request.

Items under 2kg can be mailed free of charge to UK mainland addresses by Royal Mail Special Delivery which will insure the item for up to £500. Please contact me for shipping costs to overseas destinations or for more expensive or heavier items.
