Georgian Enamel Etui

Description

Lovely enamel and white metal etui containing original scissors and a bodkin which is possibly a replacement .There is one item missing which was probably a very fine needle. The enamel is beautifully decorated, different each side, but has been resorted some time in the past. The scissors are original and the handles are in excellent condition but there is some age-related deterioration to the steel blades. A very similar one is pictured in Nerylla Tauntons wonderful book on sewing items "Antique Needlework Tools". With the scissors in place it measures just over 4 1/2".
I prefer payment by bank transfer, details on request.
I regret that due to current regulations I am unable to ship ivory items to the United States, even though all items are CITES compliant.
