Lovely late Victorian wooden bobbin caddy with drawer for accessories and lift off lid with pincushion top. It has rods inside for holding nine reels or bobbins and bone eyelets for the thread to pass through. A very practical idea as the thread doesn't get tangled. There is also a space in the top for thimbles and other accoutrements like tape measure and waxer. The drawer also has plenty of storage for scissors etc. It stands on little turned feet. The condition is lovely with no damage whatsoever. The velvet pincushion covering has been replaced at some time though. It's a nice practical size - 7" square and approximately 5" high.
