A fine quality gilt brass cased 8 day late Victorian Paris made `Grand Sonnerie` carriage clock in superb condition. c.1890. The immaculate gilt brass case with hinged carry handle to the top and moulded edge to the top forming a small cornice. Matching moulded edge to the base with a shallow apron forming a foot. Quarter plate bevelled edge glasses to all four sides and matching window to the top. White porcelain dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The 8 day `Grand Sonnerie` quarter striking the hour followed by the quarter on a pair of gongs, original jewelled platform with adjustment leaver and repeater button to the top. Presented in superb original condition with immaculate gilt finish, perfect glasses and enamel dial sold in full working order (a video of the clock striking can be viewed at ).
