Here is a opportunity to purchase a beautiful small french mantle clock. The clock as can be seen is in absolutely untouched original condition. The panel to the front depicting a working lady is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or signs of previous repair. The 3 inch dial has the most fine intricate decorative floral pattern in near perfect condition. The only issue i can see with this clock is the small hairline crack to the dial around the 6. Other than that i can not find fault at all.
The 8 day french platform escapement movement has been fully serviced by westmorland glass-steam mill clocks and runs faultlessly. This clock is the perfect piece for that cottage mantle piece or even in a modern environment it just fits in seamlessly.
I purchased this clock from the daughter of a retired clock and watch maker who had sadly passed away, this was one of his “keeper” items and it shows in the manner of how it had been well maintained and kept untouched.
