it is a pleasure to offer this 8 day carriage clock with alarm.
as you can see from the picture it really is a giant compared to the standard size clock next to it.
The height with the handle up is 10 inch and 8.5 with the handle down 6 inch wide to make room for the 4.5 inch dial.
As you can see the 8 day movement in superb condition having been recently serviced and in perfect working order therefore giving and perspective buyer piece of mind that this clock will not require any further expense any time soon.
The clock works and strikes using the two main springs striking hourly and half hourly on the coiled gong if you require the alarm function a separate smaller spring requires winding and the time setting once the desired time is reached the alarm will activate with a smaller separate hammer striking the gong at a rapid speed until the spring is wound down.
This clock has been on my office desk now for over a week and it has great presence without looking out of place and with a gentle tone while striking it is in no way offensive. I truly believe that this would look great on any sideboard, desk or mantle piece
I would describe the overall condition as excellent and ready to be displayed.Like all antiques there is the odd minor mark but the condition with delight the most discerning buyer.
