Here is a fantastic example of a 19th Century French mantle clock. The size of this clock is something that appealed to me as it is of relatively small proportions compared to similar clocks of the same period and design. The base is only 4.5 inch deep and 10.5 inches wide allowing it to be placed on the narrowest of mantle pieces or sideboards without the risk of it being to close to the edge.
The 8 day spring driven movement is in perfect working order and keeps fantastic time. The clock strikes every half hour on the bell which is toned just right for the size of the clock. The back plate is stamped Ls Boname Seloncourt.
The stunning 4.5 inch unmarked Porcelain dial is signed Archambout Aaria.
The attention to detail to quite something for example the hands as can be seen from the pictures are just so intricate and perfect for this piece.
The clock has been fully dismantled and every part has been hand cleaned and given a protective coating to maintain the look many years to come. The movement has been fully serviced making the clock ready to enjoy in your home or office.
My photography skills are not the greatest, Any potential clients are very welcome to view the clock prior to purchase (or pay on delivery)to ensure that they are satisfied with their purchase.
This clock is much nicer in the flesh and looks superb .
If the asking price is paid in full then I will deliver and set up the clock free of charge to the English mainland,Wales and the Scottish lowlands.I will also provide a 12 months guarantee under these circumstances. This is the same service that is provided by a high street retailer without the customer having to pay for the overheads
If a lesser off is accepted then this will be sold as a trade sale with the clock as described and with shipping costs the responsibility of the buyer.
I will ship this clock worldwide .
UK buyers are asked to use alternative means of payment to Pay Pal if at all possible.
