A very pretty little French Desk, 'bonne heure du jour'. this has lots of interesting detail. The writing area, ie the leathered part slides forward to give a better space to write on but then slides back for neatness when not in use. The are four useful little drawers on the top and a further one underneath. The centre of the gallery has turned spindles and a little carved decoration above them. The legs are supported by a double rail with turned spindles. There is light relief carving in the walnut on the drawer fronts and other places. Lovely little item in very clean condition with new/ replacememt leather, ready for a new home.Description
