Inside, the fitted interior includes a green baize writing surface, three small drawers, and a cleverly concealed compartment hidden behind a sliding panel—perfect for safeguarding correspondence or keepsakes. The desk stands on graceful cabriole legs, adorned with ormolu mounts at the hips and united by a shaped apron embellished with further marquetry detail.
