Superb Victorian Wellington chest of drawers in a rich, lovely mahogany, in excellent antique condition. While the key is unfortunately missing, the 7 graduated drawers are of solid dovetailed construction, with turned knob handles, and are flanked by carved corbels—the right-hand one acting as a locking bar. The locking bar swings open on hinges to allow easy access to the drawers. This very useful and attractive item is always popular, as it fits into many places in your home, providing fantastic storage.

The Antique Wellington Chest was named after the famous Duke of Wellingtons victory of 1815. Antique wellington Chests are tall and narrow chests, usually with seven working drawers, one for every day of the week.
